  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950
  • Location: Everett, Washington
  • Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
  • Start Date: October 26, 2026
  • End Date: January 25, 2027
  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts; listed schedule is 2:30 p.m.–3:00 a.m. Additional scheduling may include 4:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m. or 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4
  • Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per two-week period
  • Weekend Coverage: Required
  • Float: Required, including the possibility of floating to nearby sister locations
  • Orientation: 24 hours
  • Charting: Epic
  • Specialty Setting: Large combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department with approximately 220 visits per day

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington or a compact RN license in hand at submission
  • At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN or Emergency Room RN experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Recent Epic electronic medical record experience required
  • Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
  • ENPC or PAL certification preferred or required based on assignment review
  • Experience in a Level II trauma environment preferred
  • Strong competency caring for adult, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, infant, and neonatal patients
  • Ability to work weekends and maintain flexibility for holiday coverage
  • Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to patients across the emergency care continuum
  • Perform triage, focused assessments, reassessments, and prioritization of patients with varying acuity levels
  • Care for patients experiencing stroke, STEMI, trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, behavioral health crises, and other emergent conditions
  • Manage critically ill patients, ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, arterial lines, central lines, and blood product administration
  • Perform or assist with procedural sedation, airway support, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV initiation, phlebotomy, and dysrhythmia management
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and arterial blood gases while recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
  • Support emergency care for both adult and pediatric trauma patients, including stroke and STEMI response
  • Apply isolation precautions, PPE standards, de-escalation techniques, and evidence-based emergency nursing practices
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
  • Accurately document nursing care and interventions in Epic
