Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- At least 1 year of travel RN experience required
- Current acute care experience must be actively maintained and recent
- Active compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
- Epic charting experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Strong telemetry monitoring and IV start skills
- Experience with emergency medications, dysrhythmia recognition, triage, and blood product administration preferred
- Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients
- Assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with urgent and complex oncology-related conditions
- Perform IV starts, monitor telemetry, and support emergency interventions in a fast-paced ED setting
- Administer medications and assist with the care of ventilated and medically complex patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response resources
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain safe, efficient patient flow in the emergency department
- Adapt to floating needs and maintain professionalism throughout the travel nursing assignment
