Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department setting
  • Level II Trauma Center, STEMI Certified, and Stroke Certified facility
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
  • Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
  • Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

  • Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
  • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
  • Preferred certifications: NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, 5 years preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Preferred experience with Level II Trauma Center care
  • Skilled in emergency care across pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and trauma presentations
  • Experience managing dysrhythmias, IV therapy, and emergency medications
  • Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care for a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and psychiatric cases
  • Perform triage, EKG interpretation, splinting, and wound management as needed
  • Complete facility orientation modules, averaging 8-12 hours, signed off by facility managers
  • Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no exceptions and no modifications after submission
  • No block scheduling accepted for this assignment
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
  • Travel pairs accepted
  • Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler
