Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift assignment in a Level II Trauma Center, requiring travel experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

  • General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
  • Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certification
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1845-0715)
  • Floating may be required based on patient care needs
  • Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

  • Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, 5 years preferred
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required in hand
  • NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications also required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
  • Skilled in emergency care across pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic presentations
  • Experience with IV therapy, central line management, and administration of emergency medications
  • Proficient in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias and 12-lead EKG/ECG

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care for a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and behavioral health crises
  • Manage patients experiencing shock, multisystem organ dysfunction, and traumatic injuries
  • Apply triage and isolation precaution protocols as needed
  • Complete required orientation modules, typically taking 8-12 hours
  • Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no exceptions and no modifications after submission
  • No block scheduling available
  • Local travelers accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
  • Travel pairs accepted
  • Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
