Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Hilo, Hawaii
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Assignment Start: December 7, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours weekly, following the first week of orientation
• Emergency Department: 28-bed Emergency Room with trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac-monitoring rooms
• Orientation and Arrival: Arrive the Thursday before the assignment start date for an employee health appointment scheduled on Friday
• Scheduling Note: Weekly hours are not guaranteed

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room, emergency department, or acute-care nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Hawaii RN license must be active by the start of the assignment
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and maintain a 36-hour weekly schedule after orientation
• Strong emergency nursing assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to function effectively in a high-volume emergency department with rapid patient turnover

Emergency Department Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency patients across a broad range of acuity levels
• Perform focused emergency nursing assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and prioritize care appropriately
• Support care delivery in trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac-monitoring areas
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders, policies, and professional standards
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate timely patient care
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and promptly communicate significant findings
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support safe transitions of care
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative environment while adapting to frequent changes in patient volume and acuity
