Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring a GA or compact RN license and a minimum of 3 years recent ED experience.

Details

  • 24-bed ER unit with a 4-recliner flex area in a Level III Trauma facility
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
  • Some weekends and holidays required
  • Uses PICIS and Soarian Clinicals EMR systems
  • Skills utilized include ventilator management, IV starts, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation

Requirements

  • Active GA or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS
  • Minimum 3 years recent Emergency Department experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Skilled in respiratory care, care of ventilated patients, cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, medication administration, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
  • Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered

Additional Information

  • Provide direct emergency nursing care including triage, ventilator management, and procedural sedation monitoring
  • Minimal to no RTO accepted, particularly around holidays
  • Holiday coverage required
  • Candidates living within 30 miles of the facility will not be considered
  • Candidates living 31-50 miles from the facility may be considered at a local rate
