Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with Level I or II trauma center experience and a VA or compact RN license for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Emergency Department setting at a Level I and Level II Trauma Center
• Evening shift, 3x12-hour shifts (15:00-03:00)
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends required with variable scheduling based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license (pending license accepted, must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC required (pending accepted, must be obtained before start)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• At least 1 year of Level I trauma center experience or 2 years of Level II trauma center experience, plus peds experience
• Epic charting experience required
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care including triage
• Maximum 40 hours of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Any vacation time between sign date and start date must be disclosed to plan an appropriate start date
• Nursys license verification required
• Previous UVA permanent staff or traveler employment requires 1-year separation and leadership approval
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return after reaching this limit
• No radius or mileage restriction applies to this position
• Specialty-specific orientation modules completed during onboarding
