Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a 29-bed Emergency Department (plus 8 hallway spaces)
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices and hospital policy and procedures
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of emergency patient care
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff; provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• At least 2 previous travel assignments successfully completed required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• ESI Level 5 triage training required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
