3-12 Hour Shifts: Nights (19:00 - 07:00), Every Other Weekend/Every Other Holiday. No call or block scheduling.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This fast-paced Emergency Department serves a diverse population, including neonates to geriatrics, with an average of 116 visits per day. The successful candidate will utilize Epic and Pyxis systems and work alongside emergency department providers.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
- Conduct patient assessments and triage in a fast-paced environment.
- Administer emergency medications and manage patients with critical conditions.
- Use Epic and Pyxis for patient charting and medication administration.
- Participate in conscious sedation procedures and monitor patient recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including MDs and PAs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required.
- Epic experience is required.
- Active RN license and certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS.
- Charge nurse experience preferred but not required.
- Must be able to float to like acuities or less if needed.
