Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift assignment requiring Cerner experience and at least one prior travel assignment.

Details

  • General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
  • Every other weekend required
  • Every other holiday required
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active compact RN license or MD license required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
  • ENCP and TNCC certifications preferred
  • 2 years of general ED adult/pediatric experience required within the last 7 years
  • Cerner charting system experience required
  • Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
  • Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
  • Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, respiratory care, and administration of emergency medications
  • Preferred skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, care of ventilated patients, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and triage
  • Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include isolation precautions/PPE compliance and patient triage
  • Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
  • Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a travel nurse
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
