Description

American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of ER experience and STEMI/Stroke facility background.

Details

  • General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric populations
  • Non-trauma emergency department at a STEMI and Stroke certified facility
  • Cares for special populations including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-730a, with occasional 3p-3a shifts as needed
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
  • No call requirements
  • Floating to any Cone Health campus may be required
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE
  • Current driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Care for patients experiencing a wide range of emergency conditions including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and trauma-related cases
  • Hospital specialties include cath lab, women's health, and stroke care
  • All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply
  • RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
