Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and a compact or OK RN license.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department serving a comprehensive stroke center, transplant center, burn center, LVAD, total heart, PICU, NICU, and L&D populations
• Fast-paced, high-acuity department seeing approximately 175-200 patients per day
• ED performs ECMO cannulation and serves as a chest pain center
• Unit typically has 30 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating on-call and rotating weekend call required
• Floating to other departments and sister Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius may be required
• Epic experience preferred
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or OK State license) required, pending licenses not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ESI certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience in an acute care setting required, 3 years preferred
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in emergency care across psychiatric, pediatric, respiratory, neurological, and trauma populations, including arterial line management, chest tube management, ICP monitoring, and procedural sedation
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Must be a seasoned RN; prior travel experience not required
• Must provide valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill matching address, dated within the last 3 months
• Two supervisory references required
• Copies of certifications required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a highly acute and diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, and psychiatric cases
• Perform triage and utilize isolation precautions/PPE as needed
• Support multisystem organ dysfunction and shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO allowed
• Former Integris employees must have at least 1 year of separation from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Any gaps of 3 months or more in work history must be explained
• Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty
