Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 1+ years of recent ER experience and EPIC EMR proficiency.

Details

  • Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department
  • Non-trauma emergency department setting within a STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility
  • Patient ratio of 1:4:1
  • Uses Omnicell medication system and EPIC for documentation
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 18:45-07:15
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
  • Floating to other units may be required based on census needs

Requirements

  • Active TN or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB, NIHSS, PALS
  • TNCC certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the ER required
  • 2 years of charge nurse experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Skilled in pediatric and psychiatric emergency care, IV therapy, respiratory management, cardiac monitoring, and emergency medication administration

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric presentations
  • Perform triage, isolation precautions/PPE protocols, and splinting/orthopedic care as needed
  • Participate in weekly Monday orientation and annual compliance training
  • First-time travelers will be considered based on skill and experience
  • Floating required to other qualified units or campuses based on facility census needs
