Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and a GA or Compact RN license.

Details

  • Emergency Department setting
  • 16-week contract on night shift (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

  • Active GA or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
  • CPI, ENPC, and TNCC certifications preferred
  • Skilled in respiratory care and management of ventilated patients
  • Experience with medication administration including continuous IV sedation
  • Procedural sedation administration/monitoring experience preferred
  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Triage experience required

  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission
  • Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
  • Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be separated for one full year before applying as a traveler
  • Travelers previously cancelled or DNR'd from a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
