• Shift: Night shift, 12 hours
• Schedule: 3x12-hour nights; facility may allow a 48-hour schedule
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620-$1,700
• Orientation: Brief unit orientation provided onsite
• Patient Ratio: 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Patient Volume: Approximately 90 daily visits
• Weekend Coverage: At least 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Experience Level: 1+ year of emergency nursing experience required; 2 years preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or a valid compact license eligible before start
• Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Emergency department experience with strong clinical judgment and adaptability
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• CPI and TNCC preferred or highly valued
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in a rotating weekend schedule
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-moving emergency room environment
• Previous travel nursing experience not required; first-time travelers are welcome

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Perform triage and prioritize care for a wide variety of emergency presentations
• Manage trauma, stroke, neuro, and critical care-related cases as needed
• Support procedures such as procedural sedation monitoring, IV starts, and phlebotomy
• Monitor and manage arterial lines, central lines, BiPAP/CPAP, and ventilated patients
• Administer blood products, IV vasopressors, and continuous infusions per protocol
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Provide safe, compassionate care while maintaining strong documentation and chart accuracy
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response, social services, and other support teams
• Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
