Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 hours, with the option to work 48-hour weeks
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 - $1,700
• Setting: Emergency Department / ER
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102
• Special Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage required; flexibility to float to like units within scope as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact eligibility required before start
• 1+ year of emergency nursing, emergency room nursing, or acute care experience required; 2 years preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Strong skills in triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, and emergency patient stabilization
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a busy ER setting
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical need
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions according to department protocols
• Support care for trauma, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, and other emergent conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, lab, pharmacy, and other support services
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established safety and quality standards
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while helping ensure smooth emergency department flow
