Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Albuquerque, NM 87109

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Weekend coverage required with a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 based on acuity (ESI 3-5).

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a community-based emergency department serving all age groups from neonates through geriatrics
• Busy emergency department with approximately 80 visits per day, 18 rooms, and 20 beds
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and radiology
• Experience with diverse patient populations and conditions including medical-surgical, cardiac, neuro, minor trauma, OB/GYN, and initial care for strokes, STEMIs, and major trauma prior to transfer
• Opportunity to work with advanced procedures including chest tubes, RSI, procedural sedation, central lines, and ultrasound-guided IVs
• First-time travelers accepted with comprehensive orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (pending license accepted if obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience preferred
• Previous charge experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required; TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, NRP/ENPC, and STABLE preferred
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 patients required; Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Willingness to float to medical-surgical and ICU units as needed based on facility requirements
