Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 7, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week. 4:1 patient ratio. Two weekend shifts required per contract. Daily census of approximately 100 visits with 22 treatment rooms.

  • Combined adult and pediatric emergency care with Level II Trauma Center experience
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Flexible scheduling options with 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • Opportunity to work with advanced procedures including intubation, central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes
  • Epic charting system utilized throughout the department

Requirements:

  • Active Kansas RN license or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 1+ years of Emergency Department nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Candidates must reside outside 50-mile local radius
  • Willingness to float to like units within scope as needed
