Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Room – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 6, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage required (approximately half of weekends per contract). Patient ratio 1:4. 24-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

  • Level I Trauma Center experience with 36-bed Emergency Department
  • Daily census of approximately 105 visits per day across all patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • 13-week assignment with opportunity to work in a high-acuity trauma environment
  • Collaborative team environment with full support services including phlebotomy, interpretation services, and unit secretary

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Level I Trauma Center experience preferred

  • Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
