Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Room – Gun Barrel City, TX 75156

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Gun Barrel City, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Flexible 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Patient ratios: 3:1 days, 4:1 nights, 3:1 weekends.

Highlights:

8-week travel assignment in a community hospital emergency department
Care for diverse patient populations across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
11-bed emergency department with approximately 65 visits per day
Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, and radiology
12-hour orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding
One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience required
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
Epic charting system experience required
Community hospital experience required
Proficiency in emergency nursing skills including IV therapy, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and procedural sedation
Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
