Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an ER Holding night shift position requiring 2 years of ER experience and OH or compact RN license.

Details

• ER Holding unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required in work history
• ER observation/holding or MS/Tele experience also required
• MS/Tele, Tele, or PCU/Stepdown experience acceptable as additional background
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or Supervisor and the second from a Charge RN; no coworker references accepted

• Provide nursing care to ER holding patients across a wide range of age groups
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Former employees eligible for assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees of the health system are ineligible for this traveler position
• RTO must be submitted with the contract and is limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict credentialing timelines
