Key Responsibilities of the Cardiac Device Technician- Manage implanted cardiac rhythm management devices such as pacemakers and implantable defibrillators independently
- Monitor and follow up with cardiac patients using implanted monitors
- Utilize EPIC experience to maintain patient records and progress
Requirements of the Cardiac Device Technician- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Completion of a pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent experience
- EPIC experience within the last 2 years
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology
