Job Title: Electrophysiology Tech Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Duration: 15 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year; first-timers accepted License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT R or CCI RCIS or CCI RCES Must-Have: - Experience in electrophysiology lab - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias - Competency in cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and cardioversion - Skills in the insertion and programming of AICDs and pacemakers - Knowledge of tilt table studies and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias - Ability to maintain a sterile field as a room circulator Description: Electrophysiology tech needed for the electrophysiology lab. The tech will work with adult to geriatric patient populations. The expected daily patient census is 8-12 patients. The tech is expected to manage two rooms with a patient ratio of 1:5. Call may be required, but there is no weekend call. If called, the tech must stay past the shift hours. The traveler is expected to work major holidays as outlined. Full compliance is required to start on time. Clinical fit will be assessed prior to final decision. No weekend call is required, but rare float within the facility may occur. RTO requests must be finalized at the time of submission.
