Pulse Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Endoscopy for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM; on-call required for overnight and weekend shifts. Options available for 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts.

Job Duties

Responding to patient inquiries and addressing their concerns effectively.
Monitoring patient vital signs throughout procedures.
Administering sedation to patients prior to procedures.
Providing post-procedural recovery assistance to patients.
Administering prescribed medications to patients as needed.
Completing all required documentation, including patient notes and discharge paperwork.
Preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for endoscopic procedures.
Ensuring proper cleaning and sterilization of equipment prior to use.
Assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures.
Administering IV drips to patients during treatment.

Requirements

Valid New York nursing license.
BLS Certification (American Heart Association only).
ACLS Certification (American Heart Association only).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in endoscopy procedures.
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification.
Experience with conscious sedation.
Expertise in IV insertion.
Experience recovering patients from general anesthesia.
Ability to perform intake assessments for gastrointestinal procedures.
