Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring Advanced Endoscopy experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule from 0700-1530, 40 hours per week over 5 days
  • On-call responsibilities include 2-3 weekday calls and every 4th weekend call
  • May be required to work weekends or holidays based on departmental needs
  • Uses Cerner for charting
  • Travelers may float to a sister hospital nearby

Requirements

  • Active RN license in SC or a recognized NCSBN compact state, and not a permanent resident of SC
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only)
  • ACLS required for positions located in the Pain Management Clinic
  • Advanced Endoscopy experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing
  • BSN highly desired
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and emergency response skills
  • Ability to lift/move patients and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stooping
  • Ability to lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs intermittently

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care for Endoscopy patients following established standards of practice in accordance with the SC Nurse Practice Act
  • Apply professional nursing theory to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Frequent interaction with patients, families, physicians, and other staff
  • Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials is common in this role
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date before requiring a break
