Job Summary: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. The RN assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documents patient responses to interventions, assists physicians in examinations and procedures, monitors physiological data, administers medications, and interacts with patients and families to share care plans and hospital procedures. Delegation of tasks to support staff and referrals to appropriate personnel are also part of the role.

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
• Basic computer skills.

Required Education:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS (American Heart Association).
