Join our team as a PACU Registered Nurse at a leading acute-care hospital in Rochester, NY! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN to provide exceptional care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a duration of 8 weeks. This contract position offers a Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, running from 08:00 to 18:30.

As a PACU RN, you will be responsible for caring for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. Your expertise will be critical in managing patient diagnoses such as procedural-based issues, including Pancreatic, Lung, Colon, and Gastric cancer, as well as Polyps, Barrett's esophagus, and CBD stones/strictures/cancer.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing post-operative care and monitoring patients' recovery from anesthesia.
• Administering medications and managing IVs as required.
• Performing mandatory competencies with phlebotomy.
• Assisting with special procedures such as EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, and Manometry.

Requirements for this position include:

• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Locals are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility.
• Scrubs: Navy/White.
