Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy unit position requiring at least 2 years of in-hospital endoscopy experience and ACLS/PALS certification.

Details

  • Work in a hospital Endoscopy unit with 9 pre-op bays, 4 procedure rooms, and 6 PACU bays
  • Variable patient ratios based on daily volume
  • Uses Olympus Scopes and Processors, ION, Olympus US machine, and ERBE equipment
  • EMR systems used include Cerner and Provation
  • Day shift staffing varies with volume; night shift covered by call team only
  • Floating required to Main PACU, Phase II, and Pre-Op, with OR floating if prior experience exists
  • On-call requirement of 2 weekend 24-hour call shifts in 6 weeks plus 1 night per week

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or compact) currently in hand
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of in-hospital Endoscopy experience required
  • Pulmonary procedural experience preferred
  • Experience with procedures such as EBUS, Bronchoscopy, ION, EGD, Colon, EUS, and ERCP preferred
  • Must have US Social Security Number and date of birth on hand for consideration
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care across pre-op, procedure, and PACU phases of endoscopy services
  • Surgical scrubs provided as part of dress code
  • Candidates should be flexible and self-motivated given variable scheduling needs
  • Scheduling flexibility required; block scheduling for extended days off is not routinely accommodated
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
