Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Endoscopy RN skilled in advanced procedures such as ERCP, EUS, bronchoscopy, and EBUS for a 13-week assignment requiring a compact or LA RN license.
Details
- Endoscopy unit setting including inpatient, outpatient endoscopy center, and portable/bedside travel cases
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with possible start times ranging from 0600 to 0800
- On-call required for after-hours, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time
- No call-ins permitted
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license, Compact or LA license required in hand upon submission
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Endoscopy specialty required
- Must be able to function independently in all areas of Endoscopy, including advanced procedures such as EUS, ERCP, bronchoscopy, and EBUS
- Bariatric procedure and ION Robot experience preferred
- Skilled in administering and monitoring conscious sedation, including Propofol, Versed, and reversal agents
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs
- Skilled in airway management and recovery from conscious/monitored anesthesia care sedation
- Experience with bronchoscopy cart and related supplies
- Updated NURSYS report required with profile submission
Additional Information
- Perform full scope of Endoscopy RN duties including circulating and assisting with colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, and bronchoscopy procedures
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring on-site presence during facility emergency events
- Must uphold facility mission and values, functioning as a full-time staff member would
- Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not accepted)
- Orientation held five days a week; includes billable modules recorded by the facility
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 65 miles from the facility
- RTO must be disclosed and discussed during interview to avoid offer rescission
- Previous Ochsner Health permanent or in-house agency staff must have a full year separation before returning as a travel employee
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
