Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Endoscopy RN for a role in a Level II trauma acute care facility requiring prior GI/Endo experience and weekly on-call availability.

Details

• Level II trauma, comprehensive stroke, and children's hospital setting
• Endoscopy unit with Pre-op, PACU, and Procedure Room areas
• Pre-op, PACU, and Procedure RN roles available with staggered start times across the unit
• Variable patient ratios based on daily case volume
• Adult and pediatric case mix including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, bronchoscopy, stent placements, PEG and tracheostomy placement, and capsule endoscopy
• Uses Olympus Scopes, ERBE, Medivator, ION, Boston Scientific, and Cook equipment
• Cerner EMR used
• Four 9-hour day shifts scheduled Monday through Friday with variable start times
• One overnight call shift per week following a scheduled shift
• Two 24-hour weekend call shifts within a 6-week scheduling period
• No block scheduling accommodated
• Floating not required unless voluntarily agreed to by traveler

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior Endoscopy experience required
• Pediatric Endoscopy, Pulmonary Endoscopy, or Endoscopy Tech experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across Pre-op, PACU, and Procedure Room settings for adult and pediatric endoscopy patients
• Support a unit staffed by 12-16 team members depending on daily case volume
• Green surgical scrubs are provided, and navy blue scrubs are also acceptable
• Best suited for candidates not seeking to commute daily to a permanent residence
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
