Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring ERCP experience and the ability to work through pre/post, circulate, and tech roles.

Details

  • Inpatient Endoscopy unit with pre/post procedure responsibilities
  • Adult to geriatric patient population
  • Patient ratio of 1:2 across 3 rooms and 11 beds with an average daily census of 20
  • Day shift schedule totaling 36 hours per week (combination of 10-hour and 8-hour shifts)
  • Uses Pyxis and Epic systems
  • Required to work 2-3 weekends per contract
  • Call requirements include 1 weekday call per week and 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule
  • No floating required

Requirements

  • Active GA or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Required experience with ERCP, ERCP with Spy Glass, Bronchoscopy, EBUS procedures, Colonoscopy, EGD, and ION procedure
  • Must be able to work through pre/post, circulate, and tech duties
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Scrub experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Responsible for administering and monitoring conscious sedation
  • Perform own vital sign checks and blood glucose checks as part of RN duties
  • Navy blue scrub color required
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
  • Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment (New Year's Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day)
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Past Piedmont employees (perm/per diem/FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year before applying as a traveler
