Job Summary
Endoscopy Lab Nurse in the area. This role involves providing routine and complex nursing care in an ambulatory setting, demonstrating independence and awareness of clinical situations. The position requires on-call availability, including weekend shifts, within Surgical Services.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Providing nursing care in the Endoscopy Laboratory, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care. Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitor side effects, and document care activities.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, valid Registered Nurse license in the state of employment or compact, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification via the American Heart Association, at least 1 year of nursing experience in a similar clinical setting.
  • Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities: Addressing increasing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, providing patient education, and ensuring appropriate documentation.
  • Certifications: BLS via AHA required, ACLS via AHA required.
  • Additional Information: Floating to other departments within Surgical Services is required. The role involves on-call shifts, including 2 weekend call shifts per month and 1 call night per week.
