Experience: Minimum of two years of Endoscopy Technician experience.
License: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification required.
Must-Have:
Experience assisting with a variety of endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, gastric sleeve, and other advanced GI procedures.
Knowledge of endoscopic equipment reprocessing, infection prevention standards, and procedural support.
Completion of Endoscopy Technician training coursework or at least one year of healthcare experience (e.g., Health Care Assistant or Clinical Associate) and procedural support experience may be considered.
Description:
Familiar with ERCP and gastric sleeve procedures.
Under the direction of a registered nurse, prepares the procedure room and selects and organizes the equipment.
Assists the physician and participates in an orderly and efficient room turnover based on a knowledge of endoscopic procedures, physician preferences, and patient care principles.
Prepares and maintains all endoscopic equipment.
Includes the cleaning and disinfection of endoscopic equipment, the cleaning and sterilization of accessory equipment, and the maintenance of a clean, orderly environment.
Holiday on-call coverage is required.
Weekend on-call rotation is required.
Minimum of seven on-call shifts per month.
