Job Summary
An Emergency Room (ER) Nurse is needed in an emergency department within a healthcare facility. This position involves providing care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients, during night shifts. The role requires delivering high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
Job Details
- Position Description: ER Nurse Emergency Room.
- Shift: Nights, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); NY State Registered Nurse license and all other active RN licenses; experience of at least 2 years in emergency department setting with some pediatric experience; travel experience documented; valid drivers license with matching address; EPIC electronic medical record experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience is highly preferred.
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Floating to various units is required; scrubs should be navy blue. Clinical expertise needed for common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit has 64 beds, including triage, acute, super track, trauma, clinical decision unit, and psychiatric units.
