Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality care in the Emergency Room (ER) setting. This includes managing patient care in a fast-paced environment and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The RN may also be required to float between multiple emergency department locations as needed.
Shift Requirements
- 36 or 48 hours per week, based on RN discretion at the time of acceptance.
- Flexible shifts occurring between 0500 - 1730 and 0700 - 1930 based on departmental staffing and census needs.
- Every fourth weekend is required.
- No on-call requirements.
Holiday Requirements
The RN may be required to work 1-2 of the three upcoming summer holidays, unless the unit is closed.

- Bed Size: 34
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
- Patient Population: Mixed cases
- Skills: Management of drips and titrations
- Scrub Colors: Black, Navy Blue, Caribbean Blue, and solid colors
Qualifications
- A minimum of 24 months of current Emergency Room / Emergency Department experience is required.
- Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system is required.
- Active PALS and TNCC certifications are required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred and can be obtained during onboarding.
- CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA certifications are accepted; active certification is preferred.
Profile Requirements
- Current active license in Iowa or a compact/multistate license.
- Work history/resume must clearly outline 24 months of Emergency Room / Emergency Department experience.
- Skills Checklist must be specific to Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing.
- Professional references from a supervisor/nurse manager/director within the last 24 months are preferred.
- Documented copies of licenses and certifications are required.
