Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room: The position provides emergency care on 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity emergency department setting. Prior travel experience and experience in a similar-size emergency department with Level I or Level II trauma experience are required.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week; every other weekend is required.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of emergency department experience in a similar-size emergency department; Level I or Level II trauma experience; active Virginia or compact nursing license at the time of submission; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications; trauma certification through Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS); prior travel experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior Cerner experience.
- Additional Information: Assignments end on Saturday. Orientation occurs every other Monday. Approved declinations for COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations are accepted.
