Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER) in Walnut Creek, CA. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, managing a variety of conditions including STEMI, stroke, trauma, and falls.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and manage medications using the Pyxis system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physician assistants and respiratory therapists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient assessments, triage, and care planning.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the facility's dress code.

Requirements:

• Current California RN license.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (AHA only).
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in an Emergency Department setting.
• Strong Epic experience is required.
• Prior travel experience is preferred; candidates should have completed at least 1-2 travel assignments.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts with varied start times.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CEN and TNCC certifications.
• 3-5 years of experience in the Emergency Department, including trauma and pediatrics experience.

This position requires a strong commitment to patient experience and nursing excellence, as the patient demographic is generally well-educated and vocal about their care. The average daily census in the ED is 190-200 patients, with a fast patient turnover rate.
