Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse positions are available in a healthcare facility located in a region that manages a high-volume emergency department. This role involves providing acute care in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to handle diverse patient cases, including pediatric populations. The position features day shift hours and involves working a schedule of 12-hour shifts with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid and current license to practice as a Medical Assistant (MA) with at least 2 years of experience in emergency care, plus recent clinical experience in emergency room settings. Must have at least 36 hours of available work per week. Fluency in EMR systems such as Meditech Expanse 6 is preferred but not required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience and comfort working with pediatric patients as part of patient ratio. Experience with pediatric emergency care is highly desirable.
- Additional Information: The position includes working in a department with 41 private exam beds, an accelerated care unit with 7 beds for fast-track patients, and 35 hall beds. The average emergency department census is approximately 75 patients. Candidates must include their returning-to-office (RTO) plans at the time of submission. Local candidates are preferred; those within 50 miles are eligible for the local rate.
- Submission Requirements: Up-to-date resume demonstrating 2+ years of emergency room experience, a valid MA license, and a matching skills checklist for the specialty. RTO plans must be included at submission.
