Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing critical care in a high-volume emergency department with a focus on trauma and stroke patients. The assignment requires flexibility in working nights, with a 12-hour shift schedule, and offers a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week over a six-week period.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nurse license, 2 years of experience as a registered nurse with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting, working in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume emergency department, certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days of hire). Ability to work in a team environment, provide coaching and feedback in real-time, and demonstrate flexibility across all areas of the ER.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a high-volume emergency department, familiarity with advanced procedures, and previous experience with the organizations work environment.
  • Unit Specifics: 101 beds, patient ratios typically 4:1, up to 7:1 during behavioral holds, diverse and multicultural community with over 120 languages, and a welcoming team praised for teamwork and professionalism.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days of hire).
  • Documentation System: Cerner.
  • Floats: No floating outside of the ER but must be open to floating within all sections of the ER.
