Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. This position supports emergency care for adolescent, infant, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. The role accepts first-time travelers and requires flexibility for weekend coverage and floating to units of equal or lesser acuity.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: One year of experience; current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications; State or Compact license in hand at the time of submission.
- Preferred Qualifications: First-time travel experience is accepted.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Weekend coverage is required.
- Provides care for adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients.
- Emergency care skills include care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, isolation precautions and personal protective equipment, dysrhythmia management, and triage.
- The department includes monitored patient rooms, respiratory services, computed tomography, and X-ray services.
- Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
- Orientation includes 20 hours.
