Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: The healthcare providers ER department. This position involves delivering high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and Geriatrics. The role requires maintaining clinical expertise in rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of critical conditions within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Emergency Department RN with at least 2 years of experience in emergency and pediatric care, documented travel experience, and an active NY license.
- Certifications & Education: Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications required. Valid drivers licenses with matching address.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Start date: 11/30/2026, end date: 02/27/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Active NY license, current certifications, 2 years of ER experience, experience in documenting travel assignments, proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records, and the ability to provide care to all patient types including SANE.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge capability experience and familiarity with rapid infusor and Arctic Sun equipment.
- Additional Information: Unit has 64 beds, including triage, acute care, super track, trauma, CDU, and psych. Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit uses specific drips and medications such as pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmic agents, sedatives, TNK, Heparin, and insulin. Floating to other units may be required, and navy blue scrubs are to be worn.
