Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position located in a high-volume, high-acuity facility. The role involves providing comprehensive emergency care to diverse patient populations, including trauma, stroke, pediatric, and psychiatric cases. Candidates with trauma level II experience or above and a strong teamwork focus are highly preferred.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, for at least 36 hours per week. Shifts are scheduled at least two weeks in advance with self-scheduling by seniority.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as a registered nurse, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, COVID-19 vaccination, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency room setting, trauma level II or above experience, travel experience, and ability to lead teamwork initiatives.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, COVID vaccine certification.
  • Additional Information: Candidates will be expected to participate in on-site proctored dysrhythmia testing, with orientation consisting of 2-3 shifts. The unit supports trauma, stroke, pediatric, and psychiatric patients, with approximately 155 patients per day. The facility maintains a 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage, as well as RT and pharmacy services around the clock. Call responsibilities occur once a month, with additional days possible, and self-scheduling is available.
