Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and a prior travel contract.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a level 4 trauma center
  • Afternoon shift, 12-hour shifts from 12:00 PM-12:00 AM (alternate start time options may be available)
  • Weekend package required: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • No on-call requirements
  • May float within the same discipline across local campuses
  • EMR: Epic

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IA or Compact)
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
  • At least 1 completed travel contract required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with critical and emergency IV drips including pressors, antiarrhythmics, and sedation required
  • Not eligible if employed by the facility within the last 12 months
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration
  • One supervisory reference from within the last 2 years required

Additional Information

  • Contribute professional and clinical expertise as part of an interdisciplinary ER care team
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
  • Holiday coverage required: must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
  • Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods in late November and late December
  • First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
