Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy ED unit. The role includes caring for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients, with a focus on managing critical conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, and cardiac arrest.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current active NY RN license; All RN licenses verifiable through NURSYS report; Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required to be in hand; Up-to-date resume with at least 2+ years of experience in Emergency Department including some Pediatric experience; documented travel experience required.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The emergency unit encompasses 64 beds, including triage, acute care, super track, trauma, clinical decision unit, and psychiatric beds; utilizes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun equipment; patient age range includes newborns to geriatric.
