Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency coverage
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if scheduled
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand at time of profile upload (compact license not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (AHA) required
  • ED Triage or Cardiac Room experience preferred
  • IV certification preferred
  • Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
  • ENPC and CEN certifications preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Must have own vehicle for this assignment
  • Signed supervisory reference from within the past two years required
  • Skills checklist specific to Emergency Department, current within 1 year, required

Additional Information

  • Function independently under general guidance of the Director, following unit-specific guidelines, policies, and protocols
  • Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegation, and critical thinking skills in providing patient care
  • Must maintain emotional stability in emergency settings
  • Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend
  • Personal scrubs of any color permitted
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Any requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
  • Scheduling accommodations or block scheduling requests are not accepted for this assignment
  • Candidates seeking to work this assignment alongside another permanent placement or travel assignment will not be considered
