Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) ER Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing urgent and comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population within a state-of-the-art emergency department. The position requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or American Red Cross) required; PALS is mandatory at the time of submission; TNCC and ENPC certifications are preferred
- Education Requirements: Current RN license in the state of practice; recent Nursys verification preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 0 years required; prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory; a minimum of 2 years of ER experience is preferred for auto offer, but can be screened with 1 year
- Location Requirements: Active NY license required for auto offer; screening available without at the managers discretion
- Schedule: Evenings shift, 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Additional Qualifications: Prior experience in emergency care settings; ability to float to the ED Observation Unit when needed
- Responsibilities include: managing Drips, Infusions, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, EKGs, Transports, and Med Admin
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Unit specific: 70-bed emergency unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, serving all age groups in a comprehensive, tertiary care environment
