Job Summary

This position involves providing critical nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment, working alongside a team of healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes. The role requires versatile skills in med/surg, outpatient, and emergency care procedures.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: ACLS, BLS Certification, PALS, TNCC; minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active license to submit; NCLEX or equivalent license, at least 3 years of experience in emergency nursing, and current certifications listed above.
  • Additional Information: Must have EPIC experience preferred; float to multiple units including med/surg, outpatient, and emergency. Experience in a Critical Access Hospital is preferred. Nurses are expected to be capable of working in the emergency room as charge nurses, or at least flexibly cover ER shifts as needed. Orientation can be tailored with up to one week of training, including working at least one day and one night shift to understand shift functions.
  • Equipment utilized includes EPIC, Philips central monitor/telemetry, Lifepak 15. The unit has 10 patient rooms, averaging close to 4 patients per day, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3, not exceeding 1:6.
