Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a community hospital offering 24-hour emergency and hospitalist coverage
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand prior to profile upload (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience required
• ED Triage/Cardiac Room experience preferred
• IV certification preferred
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
• ENPC and CEN certifications preferred
• BSN preferred
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

• Function independently under general guidance of the Director, following unit-specific policies and protocols
• Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegation, and problem-solving skills in patient care
• Strong critical thinking skills and emotional stability in emergency settings required
• Dress code allows personal scrubs of any color
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend
• All requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and requests made after upload or during interview will not be approved
• Candidates must not be currently working another assignment or seeking schedule accommodations such as block scheduling
• Not accepting candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility
