Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position is available in the designated location. This role involves providing acute care in both ER and Medical Surgery (MS) units, with the ability to function independently in dynamic, fast-paced environments. The assignment features rotating shifts and requires adaptability to float between departments.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday. 1 call shift required within a 13-week contract period.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 2 years of RN experience, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications. Must have prior experience of 6 months in Medical Surgery and Emergency Room settings within the past year. Must be able to function independently in the ER and in a Medical Surgery unit with up to 5 patients.
  • Preferred Qualifications: NRP certification is highly recommended and can be completed onsite if needed.
  • Additional Information:
    • Will float between ER and Medical Surgery units.
    • Bed size of the department approximately 25 beds.
    • Nurse to patient ratio typically varies between 3:1 and 4:1 depending on census and acuity.
    • Equipment utilized includes Sanford One Charge, Pixis, and EPIC computerized charting system.
    • Uniform dress code requires navy scrubs with no logos, white scrubs or lab coat acceptable underneath.
    • Training includes EPIC computer training, one day of ER training, and one day of Medical Surgery training.
    • Cancellation policy allows the client to cancel up to 12 hours before scheduled shift every 13 weeks.
