Travel Nursing Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100–$2,210
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Anticipated Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Contract End Date: January 30, 2027
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Time: Approximately 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Healthcare Setting: On-site, 64-bed Emergency Department
- Electronic Medical Record: Epic
- Additional Schedule Information: Block scheduling is based on department needs and is not guaranteed
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience is required
- Experience caring for pediatric patients is required
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Current NIHSS certification
- Current TNCC certification in hand before beginning the assignment
- Recent Epic experience
- Ability to care for patients ranging from newborns and children to adults and geriatric populations
- Charge nurse experience is highly preferred
- Ability and willingness to float as needed
Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, prioritize, and provide evidence-based nursing care to emergency patients with varying levels of acuity
- Care for patients experiencing stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and other emergent conditions
- Provide safe, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan, including those requiring specialized or forensic-related emergency services
- Monitor patient status, recognize clinical deterioration, and initiate appropriate interventions promptly
- Use specialized emergency equipment, including rapid infusers and temperature management devices, according to department protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary departments, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate timely patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and outcomes accurately in Epic
- Support Emergency Department operations through effective communication, teamwork, and floating to designated areas when needed
